2 pounds Russet potatoes washed, peeled, and cut into ¼ inch thick strips 1 tablespoon olive oil Salt and pepper to taste
Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch.
Preheat your air fryer to around 375°F.
Drain and pat the potatoes dry with paper towels.
In a large mixing bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil until evenly coated.
Place the potato slices in your air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
Cook for 10 minutes, then shake the basket and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
For extra crispy fries, turn up the heat to 400°F for the last 5 minutes.
Once done, immediately season with salt and pepper while they are still hot to help the seasoning stick.
