Equipment

  • Air-fryer For cooking the fish evenly
  • Tongs For flipping the fillets halfway through cooking
  • Brush For coating the fish with oil

Ingredients

  • 2 fillets Mahi Mahi about 6 ounces each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for coating the fillets
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for added flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika optional, for color and depth
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed, for finishing

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure the fish cooks evenly and crisps up properly.
  • Pat the Mahi Mahi fillets dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  • Season the fillets with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gently press the seasonings into the fish to help them adhere.
  • Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  • Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden on the outside and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the air fryer and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fillets before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy finish, increase the temperature to 400°F for the last 2 minutes of cooking.
  • Pair with roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
  • To add more flavor, brush with melted butter and minced garlic before serving.
