Equipment

  • Air-fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking Sheet or Flat Tray for chilling
  • Cooking spray

Ingredients

  • 1 cup polenta
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Garlic powder paprika, salt, and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs optional

Instructions

  • If making from scratch, prepare polenta according to package instructions and let it cool in a baking dish or tray until set. If using pre-cooked polenta, skip to the next step.
  • Once cooled, cut the polenta into fry shapes.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the polenta fries with olive oil, cheese, and seasonings until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Place the polenta fries in the basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd.
  • Cook for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through until they’re golden and crispy.
  • Let them cool for a minute, dip, and dig in—enjoy your tasty creation!

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, check that your polenta is certified gluten-free—sometimes, it’s the little things that count!
  • Experiment with different cheeses or spices based on what you've got in your pantry; the possibilities are endless!
