Equipment

  • Air-fryer For even cooking and crisping
  • Meat Thermometer To check internal temperature
  • Tongs For flipping the turkey breast halfway through cooking

Ingredients

  • 2-4 pounds turkey breast bone-in or boneless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter, for coating
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder for extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder for additional depth
  • ½ teaspoon paprika optional, for color and mild smokiness
  • 1 teaspoon fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme, or sage, finely chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) to create an optimal roasting environment.
  • Pat the turkey breast dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, ensuring a crispier skin.
  • Coat the turkey breast with olive oil or melted butter, making sure to cover all sides evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and fresh herbs. Rub the seasoning evenly onto the turkey breast.
  • Place the turkey breast skin-side up in the air fryer basket, allowing enough space for air circulation.
  • Air fry for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking for even browning. If the skin darkens too quickly, lightly tent it with foil.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check doneness. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the breast.
  • Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and let the turkey breast rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, increase the air fryer temperature to 400°F (204°C) for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  • Enhance the flavor by basting with garlic butter in the last few minutes of air frying.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or cranberry sauce for a complete meal.
