Ingredients
  

  • 1 package pie crust or homemade pastry dough
  • cup fruit jam strawberry, raspberry, or your choice
  • 1 egg beaten, for egg wash
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for the glaze
  • 1 tablespoon milk for the glaze
  • 1 tablespoon sprinkles optional, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) to ensure even cooking.
  • Roll out the pie crust and cut into equal-sized rectangles.
  • Spoon a small amount of jam into the center of half of the rectangles, keeping the edges clear.
  • Place the remaining pastry rectangles over the filled ones and press the edges together.
  • Use a fork to crimp the edges to seal the Pop-Tarts completely.
  • Brush the tops with egg wash to create a golden, flaky crust.
  • Place the Pop-Tarts in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Let the Pop-Tarts cool before glazing.
  • Mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled Pop-Tarts.
  • Top with sprinkles if desired and let the glaze set before serving.

Notes

  • For a chocolate version, replace the jam with Nutella or melted chocolate.
  • If using fresh fruit, blend with a bit of sugar to thicken before using as a filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2-3 minutes.
