2 cans cannellini beans drained and rinsed 1 bunch Swiss chard stems removed, leaves chopped 1 small onion diced 3 cloves garlic minced 3 cups vegetable broth or chicken broth 1 teaspoon fresh thyme chopped ½ teaspoon dried rosemary 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional, for brightness
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sautéing until softened and fragrant.
