  • Mixing bowl To combine the cream sauce ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or use chicken thighs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix about 1 ounce
  • ½ cup milk or heavy cream used to loosen the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped parsley or green onion optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  • Arrange chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, milk or cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley or green onions if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use low-fat cream cheese to reduce richness if needed.
  • Substitute Monterey Jack or mozzarella if you don’t have cheddar.
  • Add cooked chopped spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
