Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup chopped jalapeños optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the chopped onion and jalapeños if using.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg. Pour this into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Chill the mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F.
  • Scoop small balls of the mixture and place them in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re spaced out.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until they're golden brown, giving them a shake halfway through for even cooking.
  • Serve hot and enjoy these crispy bites with your favourite dipping sauce!
