Equipment

  • Air-fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • whisk
  • Ramekins
  • Fine Sieve

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar plus extra for caramelizing
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and sugar until well combined—don’t be afraid to put those arm muscles to work!
  • Add in the egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt, then mix until smooth—creamy perfection in the making!
  • Strain the mixture through a fine sieve into another bowl—smooth out any lumps or air bubbles that might have snuck in there!
  • Pour the mixture into ramekins, filling them about ¾ of the way—set them aside on a baking tray or directly in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry at 300°F for about 20 minutes, or until set—it should still jiggle slightly but not be liquidy!
  • Let the crème brûlée cool before sprinkling a thin layer of sugar on top and carefully torching it until golden and bubbly—an easy way to impress your guests!
  • Serve with fresh berries, a sprig of mint, and your favourite dessert wine for maximum indulgence—enjoy your show-stopping treat!
