12 ounces spaghetti or preferred pasta 1 pound cremini mushrooms sliced 1 cup heavy cream 2 cloves garlic minced 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing ½ cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for heat 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped 1 teaspoon salt to taste
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
