Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh herbs parsley or chives for garnish

For the Sauce (optional):

  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Boil the baby potatoes in a pot of salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let them cool slightly.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  • Place the potatoes on a baking sheet or flat surface. Using a potato masher or fork, press down on each potato to flatten it.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush the smashed potatoes with the seasoned olive oil mixture on both sides.
  • Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
  • For the optional sauce, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl. Serve alongside the crispy potatoes for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can boil the potatoes a day in advance and let them chill in the refrigerator overnight before smashing and air frying.
  • Store any leftover potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat the smashed potatoes in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes to retain their crispiness before serving.
