Equipment

  • Air-fryer
  • Sharp knife (for precision slicing)
  • Mixing bowls

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  • Peel the onion and cut off the top. Make several cuts from the top down without slicing through the bottom to create petals.
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs. In another bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip the onion into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture. Repeat for extra coating.
  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs all over the onion for that perfect crunch.
  • Place the onion in the air fryer basket and spritz generously with olive oil spray.
  • Cook for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy the crispy deliciousness!
