Equipment

  • Air-fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Tongs (for easy flipping)
  • Baking sheet (for the prepared rings before cooking)

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion sliced into ¼ inch rings
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  • Slice the onion into ¼ inch rings and separate them.
  • Set up your dredging station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of panko breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Dip each onion ring into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place them on a baking sheet until ready to cook.
  • Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray and place the onion rings in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from air fryer, let cool slightly (if you can wait!), and dig in. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy the crunch!
