10 pre-made pastry sheets or homemade pastry 2 large potatoes boiled and mashed ½ cup peas fresh or frozen 1 small onion finely chopped 1 teaspoon ginger minced 1 teaspoon garlic minced 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon coriander powder ½ teaspoon garam masala ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ½ teaspoon chili powder ½ teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons oil For the Dough (if making homemade pastry): 2 cups all-purpose flour ½ teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons oil Water as needed
Preheat your air fryer to 360°F.
In a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
Add the onion, ginger, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onions are translucent.
Mix in the coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric, and chili powder. Cook for about a minute.
Add the mashed potatoes and peas to the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt.
Remove the filling from heat and let it cool.
Roll out the pastry sheets on a floured surface. Cut each sheet in half to form rectangles.
Place a spoonful of the filling on one end of each rectangle, fold over the pastry, and seal the edges with a fork.
Lightly brush the pastries with oil.
Arrange the samosas in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway, until the samosas are golden brown and crispy.
Serve immediately with chutney or your preferred dipping sauce.
For homemade pastry, mix all-purpose flour, salt, oil, and enough water to form a smooth dough. Let it rest for 20 minutes before using.
Store any leftover samosas in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheat samosas in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes to maintain their crispiness before serving.
