Equipment

  • Air-fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Measuring spoons
  • Basting Brush (for oil)

Ingredients

  • 2 trout fillets skin-on, deboned
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For Garnish:

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • Lemon slices

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Pat the trout fillets dry with paper towels. Brush the mixture over both sides of the fillets.
  • Place the fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, skin side down.
  • Air fry for 15 minutes, or until the trout flakes easily with a fork.
  • Once cooked, remove the fillets from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra crispy skin, pat the fillets dry thoroughly before applying the oil mixture.
  • Store any leftover trout in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat the trout in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to maintain its crispiness before serving.
