- 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ bell pepper finely diced
- ½ onion finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg or flax egg for vegan option
Preheat your air fryer to 370°F.
In a food processor, pulse the black beans and rolled oats until combined but still chunky.
Transfer to a mixing bowl and add the bell pepper, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Stir in the egg until the mixture holds together.
Shape the mixture into 4 patties and place them on parchment paper.
Chill the patties in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the patties in a single layer.
Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties are golden and crispy.
