Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ bell pepper finely diced
  • ½ onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg or flax egg for vegan option

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F.
  • In a food processor, pulse the black beans and rolled oats until combined but still chunky.
  • Transfer to a mixing bowl and add the bell pepper, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Stir in the egg until the mixture holds together.
  • Shape the mixture into 4 patties and place them on parchment paper.
  • Chill the patties in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the patties in a single layer.
  • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the patties are golden and crispy.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite burger toppings.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary based on the model of your air fryer.
  • For a vegan option, use a flax egg instead of a regular egg.
  • These burgers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
