Ingredients
  

  • 12 empanada dough rounds thawed if frozen
  • Filling of choice e.g. ground beef, shredded chicken, black beans and corn, etc.
  • 1 small onion diced
  • Your favourite spices e.g. cumin, paprika, garlic powder, etc.
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions
 

  • If using pre-made dough, roll it out slightly. If making from scratch, let your dough chill, then roll it out to about ⅛ inch thick.
  • In a skillet, sauté your chosen protein or veggies with onion and spices until cooked through; let it cool slightly before filling your dough.
  • Cut circles from the dough (about 4–6 inches in diameter), scoop a spoonful of filling into the centre, and fold over to create a half-moon shape. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal ‘em up tight!
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Brush each empanada with egg wash for that golden appeal, and give them a light spray of olive oil.
  • Cook the empanadas in the air fryer for about 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway for even crispiness. Keep an eye on 'em until they’re golden and crunchy!
  • Serve them warm with your fav dipping sauces and watch as your guests (or you) demolish them in record time—snack goals achieved! Enjoy every last bite!
