Instructions
If using pre-made dough, roll it out slightly. If making from scratch, let your dough chill, then roll it out to about ⅛ inch thick.
In a skillet, sauté your chosen protein or veggies with onion and spices until cooked through; let it cool slightly before filling your dough.
Cut circles from the dough (about 4–6 inches in diameter), scoop a spoonful of filling into the centre, and fold over to create a half-moon shape. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal ‘em up tight!
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Brush each empanada with egg wash for that golden appeal, and give them a light spray of olive oil.
