Easy Air Fryer Crème Brûlée

Jump to Recipe

We're all about whipping up tasty treats without the fuss, right? And nothing says "I'm fabulous" like air fryer crème brûlée!

This dessert is creamy, crunchy, and downright impressive for the simplest of recipes, a classic French custard dessert (an egg-based custard finished with a hard, caramelized sugar crust). Remember that time we thought we could never get that perfect caramelized sugar?

Well, it turns out we just needed a trusty air fryer to do the heavy lifting!

We can enjoy a fancy dessert in just a fraction of the time, and it doesn't break the bank. It's a surefire way to wow our friends while we kick back and relax.

Plus, who can resist cracking that glossy sugar top? Let's get right to the good stuff!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Crème Brûlée

Here's what you'll need to create this classic dessert:

  • Heavy Cream: The key to that rich and luxurious texture-don't skimp on this!
  • Granulated Sugar: Sweetness, of course! Just enough to make it dreamy but not too much to send you into a sugar coma.
  • Egg Yolks: We only want the good stuff for that creamy goodness-egg whites need not apply!
  • Vanilla Extract: For that warm, inviting flavour-real vanilla is the best choice, trust me!
  • Pinch of Salt: Just a tiny touch to really bring out the sweetness!

Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Crème Brûlée

Want to make sure your crème brûlée gets the rave reviews it deserves? Check out these sweet tricks:

  • Strain It: After mixing, strain the mixture through a fine sieve (about 60-80 mesh) to remove any lumps and get that silky-smooth finish-because nobody likes an unexpected surprise!
  • Use Ramekins: Choose those adorable little ramekins that fit snugly in your air fryer; they'll help keep that creamy texture intact while cooking, and the same air-fryer basics apply to beginner-friendly air fryer chicken wings, and for complementary sides try beef tips pairing ideas.
  • Control the Sugar: When it comes to caramelizing the sugar on top, make sure to sprinkle a thin, even layer (about ½ teaspoon per ramekin)-carefully torch it until golden and bubbly, then watch the magic happen!

Serving Suggestions

Once your crème brûlée comes out looking all fancy and golden, here are a few ways to serve it:

  • Fresh Berries: Top it with some fresh raspberries or strawberries (raspberries add bright tartness while strawberries lend sweet juiciness) for a pop of colour and fruity goodness-what a combo!
  • Mint Garnish: Add a sprig of fresh mint for that fancy touch-who says dessert chefs can't be a bit extra?
  • Pair It: Serve it alongside a shot of espresso or your favourite dessert wine for the ultimate indulgent experience!

Air fryers produce quick, even browning and crisp textures by circulating hot air at high speed, making them ideal for simple sides like air-fryer fries for beginners. Lean, meaty fish like tuna sear well in a hot air fryer basket and stay moist when cooked briefly; try a straightforward style with tuna steak for air-fryer beginners.
