Crispy Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites

Jump to Recipe

Those moments when you just crave something crunchy and a bit different? Us too.

That's where these crispy air fryer cauliflower bites come in - a healthier, breaded vegetable snack that uses circulated hot air at about 400°F to achieve a crunchy exterior and tender interior.

We had a blast making these. They're super simple and seriously delicious.

Great for those afternoons when you're just chilling and want something tasty to snack on.

We even tried different seasonings to keep things interesting. BBQ, buffalo, you name it.

Trust us, this might become your new favorite snack. Super quick, super easy, and they disappear fast.

Get ready to munch!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites

Here's the lineup of what you'll need to get these bad boys going:

  • Cauliflower: 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • Olive oil: 2 tablespoons to coat those florets and help them crisp up nicely
  • Panko breadcrumbs: 1 cup for that next-level crunch
  • Parmesan cheese: ¼ cup grated, because cheese makes everything better, right?
  • Eggs: 2 large eggs, beaten (they're the glue that holds it all together)
  • Seasonings: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika for that flavor explosion

Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites

  • Don't overcrowd: Make sure the florets are in a single layer in the air fryer. If you pile them up, they won't get as crispy.
  • Shake it like a Polaroid: Give the basket a shake halfway through cooking (about 7-8 minutes) to make sure all sides get evenly browned, the same way you'd turn crispy air fryer wings for even browning.
  • Spice it up: Want to kick it up a notch? Add some cayenne pepper or crushed red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mix, about ⅛ teaspoon for moderate heat.

Variations and Substitutions

Cauliflower not your thing? No worries!

Substitute with broccoli florets or even Brussels sprouts, which crisp up in a similar time (about 10-12 minutes) in most air fryers. Love cheese?

Swap out Parmesan for cheddar or a mix of your faves; if you're serving these bites with bread, pair them with moist cornbread variations for sides.

Gluten-free? Use gluten-free breadcrumbs instead of panko, or swap in gluten-free panko for a similar crunchy texture.

Go crazy with the seasonings! Lemon pepper, Cajun spice, or a sprinkle of Parmesan and parsley right before serving.
