Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Hush Puppies

Here are some handy tips and easy air fryer recipes for beginners: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for best crisping.

For heartier plates, pair them with beef tips side dishes for dinners to round out the meal.

  • Don't Overmix: Mix just until combined; a few lumps are perfectly fine, since overmixing develops gluten and can make hush puppies dense. We're not making cake here!
  • Let Them Chill: Pop your mixture in the fridge for about 30 minutes before frying. It'll set up nicely and help them hold their shape.
  • Space Out: Give them some room in the air fryer basket. Nobody wants a hush puppy traffic jam!
